Resolution = Blessing Realizations

I started on a New Year's resolution, and it's pretty serious. It's about my health, my eating habits, my bad habits, exercise, etc. – a fairly major lifestyle change. There's one goal and it drives everything else, and it's all a blessing. Let me explain.

My blessings are:
• That I can actually achieve it and all the things attached to it. God gave me the willpower and strength to get it done and move past my perceived limitations.
• He gave me the brain and common sense to see that it's the right thing to do.
• He gave me the intelligence to see how doing so makes me more helpful to others.
• He gave me the assets to do it right.
• He gave me the opportunity to do it, a blessing many others do not have.
• He sent me to people who know the best ways to do it and are eager to show me. Their stories have already inspired me and helped me know that His hand is in this.
• He let me know that I can be a blessing to them, too, so that we all gain.

There are other ways, too, and it's obvious this is the start of a great journey that will enrich my life tremendously. Being ever mindful of these blessings, it makes me all the more eager to share them. It reaffirms what we all know: If we but ask for His help for a worthwhile cause, we will be helped because He is a loving Father who wants His children to make the most of our gifts.
